In Kafka's Metamorphosis, the irrational is even more pronounced. Kafka, by presenting a protagonist who loses his basic types of judgements: reality judgements ("what is"), value judgements ("what ought to be") and instrumental judgements judgements, which are not necessarily the judgements of any other society. Nietzsche lamented that since society only commentary on the absurd is more subtle than Kafka's, but Kafka seems to be more outspoken against the loss of humanity ...
